about

Toyzilla (originally entitled "Toyzilla: a short requiem for small boxes") is an instrumental concept piece based on using only the smallest synthesisers at Tycho Central Studio, and their inherent limitations. The piece was composed using Stylophone, Casio VL-1, Roland TB-303 and TR-606, and a Coron DS-7 Drum Synce. The largest of these measures around 295 x 145mm, the smallest only 115 x 60mm. A sampled kick drum and some percussion sounds were overdubbed for the final Triplex release.
